(HR) Opis: u ovom romanu Mellvile se bavi zlom utjelovljenom u dvama glavnim likovima: s jedne strane je kit koji predstavlja zlo bez osjećaja jer uništava sve na što naiđe, a s druge strane je kapetan Ahab koji predstavlja uporno zlo jer ga njegova osobna mržnja i glad za osvetom tjeraju da progoni kita, iako na taj način izlaže opasnosti živote svojih ljudi.

(EN) Description: In this novel Mellville deals with evil embodied in two main characters: on the one hand there is a whale that represents evil without feelings because it destroys everything it encounters, and on the other hand it is Captain Ahab who represents persistent evil because his personal hatred and hunger for they take revenge to chase the whale, although in this way they endanger the lives of their people.
